What Is The Difference Between A Freezer And An Ice Cream Freezer?

Apr 28, 2024

Many people think that just buying an ordinary freezer can be used to store ice cream. However, in fact, there are obvious differences between ice cream freezers and ordinary freezers.
First, the structure is different. Ice cream freezers usually adopt a vertical structure, while ordinary freezers are mostly horizontal. The vertical ice cream freezer makes it easier to place and take out ice cream, avoiding waste caused by frost and food deformation. Horizontal structure freezers are more suitable for storing other types of food, such as frozen meat and vegetables.
Secondly, the temperature control is different. Ice cream freezers need to be kept at a lower temperature, usually below -15°C. Ordinary freezers can be set at a higher temperature, such as around -18°C. This is because the texture and taste of ice cream are greatly affected by temperature, and it needs to be kept at a suitable temperature to ensure quality.
Finally, the capacity is different. Because the ice cream freezer needs to adopt a vertical structure, its capacity is usually smaller than that of a freezer freezer of the same specifications. However, for the special requirements of ice cream storage, ice cream freezers are often equipped with special storage boxes and wall-mounted systems to maximize the use of storage space.

There are many differences between ice cream cabinets and home freezers:

1. Appearance:

①The ice cream cabinet has insulating glass, which has a good display function

②Has good lighting display effect

③Only the freezer area

2. Temperature:

The household temperature range is generally -18℃-20℃; the ice cream cabinet is below -20℃;

3. Design:

① Household freezers are divided into two or three layers; ice cream cabinets are placed in small buckets;

②The ice cream cabinet is shorter than the domestic one, making it easier for customers to choose.
